‘Knowing Our Rights’ is bringing to Brunel University London and Hillingdon the London North ‘Debating Matters’ competition, on March 5, in partnership with the Institute of Ideas and Debating Matters.
More than 150 students from 12 schools from across London will take part in the competition, debating topical and controversial human rights issues in front of panels of judges comprising academic experts in the ‘Knowing Our Rights’ project and Brunel University London.
This major event follows up on a smaller scale, high impact, human rights competition with the Institute of Ideas held at Brunel Law School on March 2017, again as part of the Knowing Our Rights project.

The aim of the project is to deepen awareness of the ECHR and challenging human rights issues. The project places strong emphasis on engaging young people with these key debates.
