A key ambition of the ‘Knowing our Rights’ project is to raise awareness about human rights with our young people. To achieve this, we are visiting a number of 6th forms, in London and beyond, in collaboration with the youth organisation ‘Shout Out UK‘.
The students follow a presentation by our human rights experts, and discuss controversial human rights issues with them, before embarking upon a parliamentary style debate, where students put the theoretical knowledge they obtain from the workshop into practice and develop public speaking skills.
